Appointed to the e7 Board on December 21, 2023, Al Shamsi brings 23 years of experience. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa, USA, and a Master’s Degree in Quality Management from the University of Wollongong, Dubai, UAE, he has executive education from INSEAD, Singapore, and IMD, Switzerland. Al Shamsi serves as Vice Chairman of Al Khaznah Tannery and holds positions of Managing Director and CEO at SWS Holding and the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Water Solutions Company, emphasizing ethical and business conduct standards.
Praneet Gupta is a senior strategy, transformation, and investment leader with more than 20 years of international experience across private equity, portfolio management, strategy consulting, and industrial operations. He has worked extensively across the Middle East, the United States, India, and Southeast Asia, advising governments, sovereign wealth funds, and global corporations on large-scale transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and long-term value creation.
He currently serves as Director of Portfolio Management at ADQ and as a Board Member of e7 Group, contributing to strategic oversight, portfolio value creation, and governance. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at the Public Investment Fund and Bain & Company, where he led complex post-merger integrations, multibillion-dollar acquisition strategies, and large-scale transformation programs across multiple industries.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Zomato, Cummins Inc., Booz & Company, Boston Consulting Group, and Applied Materials, driving global growth initiatives, operational excellence, and market expansion.
Mr. Gupta holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
Iman Al Qasim, with 24 years of experience, joined the e7 Board on December 21, 2023. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the American University of Sharjah, UAE, and an MBA from the University of Bath, United Kingdom. Apart from her e7 role, she is a Non-Executive, Independent Board Member at TAQA and holds executive positions at Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) and Guinea Alumina Corporation. Additionally, she serves as a Non-Executive Director and Chairperson of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee at Aramex.
Appointed to the e7 Group board on 30th May 2024, Dr. Jaap Kalkman brings over 25 years of experience in a range of fields including management consultancy and private equity. Dr. Kalkman currently holds the role of Chief Investment Officer at ADQ. He obtained a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, where he also attained degrees in general philosophy, physics and mathematics.
Jan Juul Larsen, commenced his tenure on the e7 Board on December 21, 2023, boasting 39 years of professional experience. He holds a Master’s Degree in Dairy and Food Technology from Copenhagen University, Denmark. Additionally, he serves as Shareholder and CEO at JJ Larsen Management Consulting.
Mohammad Adnan Sharafi joined the e7 Board on December 21, 2023, with 16 years of experience. He holds a Bachelor of Laws LLB (Hons) from the University of Westminster and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales. Additionally, he serves as Chief Legal Officer & Board Secretary at Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC and Chairman at Union Power Holding Company PJSC. He also holds Non-Executive Director roles and is a Member of the Audit Committee at Abu Dhabi Aviation PJSC.
Saif Al Hammadi began serving on the e7 Board on December 21, 2023. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Zayed University, Abu Dhabi. Currently, he does not hold memberships or designations in other Joint Stock companies, supervisory roles, or government/commercial offices.
